Weight Loss Dietary Supplements Warning

It is that time of the year when people are searching for magic weight loss dietary supplements to melt away fat fast.

Human nature demands fat loss results quickly, and individuals eagerly turn to nutritional dietary supplements to solve their fat battle. After all, a pill will speed up weight loss, won’t it? Not so fast! It could do the complete opposite – make you super sick.

The FDA released an urgent press release in December of 2008 banning a list of over 25 weight loss dietary supplements. Dear reader, if you are taking any of these supplements, please stop immediately! Your health is at risk!

The dietary supplements below have been shown to have undeclared, active pharmaceutical ingredients that can put you at extreme risk. It is not worth it! Please stop!

Some of these nutritional dietary supplements claim to be “natural”, or have “herbal” ingredients in them. According to the FDA studies, this is far from the truth. Certain undeclared ingredients have been found in these weight loss dietary supplements such as sibutramine (a controlled substance), rimonabant (a drug not approved in the U.S), phenytoin (an antiseizure drug), and phenolphthalein (a solution used in chemical experiments and a suspected cancer-causing agent). These are complete poison! BEWARE!

Here is a list of all the so-called natural dietary supplements that have been banned by the FDA. At the end of the list you will also find a link to the original press release warning published by the FDA.

This is a perfect example of why you need to be careful when taking any kind of dietary supplement. Do the companies really have your best interest at heart? I highly doubt it!

Here is a resource to help you fight back against the dietary, and fat loss supplement manufacturers.

In wake of Congress deregulating the health food industry with the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA), the business of handing out unproven remedies has mushroomed to a $15 billion industry. Doctors and herbalists alike are becoming concerned that many people are spending their money for substances that will not help and may even hurt them.
