Fitness Program Design Advice

A majority of workout warriors are on a fitness program that is both inefficient, and ineffective. This eventually leads to frustration, and lack of workout results.

The sad thing is these particular people have no clue that their fitness training program is not as effective as it could actually be. When starting an exercise program it is first important for participants to question the ultimate effectiveness. Most simply copy a fitness program, and don’t implement the very best workout plan for them.

In order to make sure your fitness training program is the most productive, and efficient it can possibly be, I have devisedDesign A Fitness Program a checklist of 6 important points to consider when designing your plan. Think about each of these points while designing, or implementing your exercise program.

Here are 6 exercise program tips you need to consider before your next workout.

1. Be ultra clear on your goals.

You must know exactly what you want to accomplish from your physical fitness program. Make sure you bring these goals to life by writing them down on paper, and making them time sensitive.

Before you can accomplish a workout goal, you must know exactly where you are going. If not, your program will not be very effective.

Closely consider your goals when planning your fitness program.

2. Consider your medical history.

You must consider your medical history prior to implementing any training program.  If you have an injured lower back, then you might have to eliminate certain exercises in your exercise regimen. Play close attention to medical history.

3. Pay close attention to the 3 components of fitness – cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility.

You should design your program in accordance with specific goals, and medical history. If your main goal is muscle endurance, you will need to design a workout program that calls for higher repetition strength training.

It is important to match your goals, and medical history with the proper training protocol.

For general fitness, I always recommend incorporating all 3 component of fitness.

4. Think about the order of exercises.

How you incorporate the fitness training program components  into your ultimate plan should be considered.  If your fitness program has a main goal of strength instead of endurance, you will want to strength train prior to any endurance work. The best exercise program is one that is planned with focused strategy.

5. Track your fitness training program results.

It is important to track your results to determine the effectiveness of your program.  Without tracking reps, weight, sets, distance, etc., you are in the dark. Track every workout so you can analyze progress.

6. Re-assess workout program results, and modify, if needed.

If you don’t have an effective exercise program checks and balances system in place, then  you have no idea how well your fitness program is working. Carefully analyze, and change your exercise regimen if needed.

When designing your fitness program make sure you think about these 6 important tips mentioned above. It may just be the difference between an effective exercise plan, or not.
